J. Michelle Caldwell is a native of St. Paul/ Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

A Classically-Trained
Singer, J. Michelle is an electrifying performer of Jazz, Blues, R & B and Gospel. 

She has toured on the
National Circuit as a Lead & Background Singer and has recorded with several
Minnesota-based Artists.

 As a Stage Actress, she has played many roles in major repertory
theaters both in Minnesota and Georgia.


After winning several local awards for her singing, J. Michelle received a full-Vocal Music Scholarship to attend Knoxville College in Tennessee. Under the training of Ruth Stokes and Dr. Everett
McCorvey (current Director of Opera Studies, University of Kentucky), J. Michelle
has thrived as a Performer, Music Director, Song-Actor, Writer, Educator and Radio Announcer.


As an In-demand Background Singer – both in-studio and on-stage, J. Michelle performed with
Ray Charles, Michael Bolton, Shirley Witherspoon, Christopher Williams, The Steeles, and Palmer Williams, Jr. (of Tyler Perry House of Payne).

 In every city that she has lived in, she has landed work with the top talent
of that area. Her goal is to touch others through song no matter the genre!
